Our 2025 Christmas Gift Appeal was something truly special, and a wonderful reminder of just how much can be achieved when a community comes together.

Thanks to the overwhelming generosity of our incredible supporters, local businesses and wider community, Jamesie’s Mission was able to donate over £35,000 worth of toys and gifts to the Royal Victoria Infirmary (RVI) in Newcastle, helping to bring a little Christmas magic to children and young people spending the festive period in hospital.

We know that being in hospital over Christmas can be incredibly difficult, not just for the children receiving treatment, but for their parents and families too. Our aim was to bring joy, comfort and a sense of normality during what can be an emotional and challenging time.

​

But in 2025, we also wanted to do something a little different.

​

We introduced a new initiative focused on supporting the parents and carers who spend countless hours by their children's bedsides, often putting their own needs last.

​

Alongside the toys and gifts for children, we provided supplies for hospital family rooms, helping to make these shared spaces a little more comfortable and ensuring families had access to everyday essentials during their stay.

​

We also donated Costa Coffee gift cards so parents and carers could treat themselves to a hot drink or something to eat, without having to worry about the cost.

​

It may seem like a small gesture, but when you're spending your days and nights worrying about your child, even being able to step away for a coffee or a bite to eat can make a difference.

For just a moment, we wanted to take away one small burden and remind those parents that they matter too. 

​

Our 2025 appeal wasn't simply about the presents under the Christmas tree. It was about making sure children felt remembered, parents felt supported and families knew they weren't facing such a difficult time alone.

​

We are incredibly proud of what we achieved together and so grateful to everyone who donated, fundraised, volunteered or supported our mission.
