Mission Christmas
Jamesie’s Mission Christmas Gift Appeal is collecting toys and gifts for children and families spending Christmas in local hospitals.

Being in hospital over the holidays can be especially hard, so our mission is to spread a little joy, comfort, and festive cheer. Every donation, big or small, helps make sure that no child misses out on the magic of Christmas, even while in hospital.

In our first appeal, we were overwhelmed by the kindness of our community and were able to donate over 500 gifts to a local hospital. The smiles, gratitude, and joy those presents brought have inspired us to continue making each appeal even bigger and better.

To make things extra magical, Santa and Mrs. Claus will be making a special appearance to support the pack-and-deliver day, helping to bring gifts onto the wards in person and share festive cheer with children and families.

2024 Christmas Appeal
Our first Christmas Appeal...
In our first appeal, we were overwhelmed by the kindness of our community and were able to donate over 500 gifts to a local hospital. What started as a simple idea — to brighten Christmas for children spending the holidays away from home — quickly became something far bigger than we ever imagined. Supporters, friends, organisations, and local stores got involved, coming together to offer toys, games, books, and thoughtful gifts of every kind. What began as a small gesture grew into a true community effort, with people from all walks of life joining in to help make Christmas brighter for children in hospital.
A huge thank you to the Sunderland and Gateshead Dunelm stores, and their amazing customers, for supporting our appeal and helping bring our ideas to life.
